Impacts of Fossil Fuels on World

Fossil Fuels

Fuel formed by the process of anaerobic decomposition of dead organic material under earth crust over million years is known as “Fossil Fuel”. It contains organic material which gives energy on combustion.

Concept

Such fossil fuels generally have million years age and sometimes life is more than 650 million years. They contain great ratio of carbon, coal, petroleum and natural gas. Fossil fuels are known as primary source of energy. Total almost 85% energy usage is given by fossil fuels. In which petroleum accounts for 34%  , coal 27% and natural gas 24%. Thus they are major primary source of energy.

Composition

Fossil fuels contain coal, petroleum, heavy oils and natural gas. Carbon is their vital part. They give great amount of energy under combustion.

Impacts on World/Environment

Fossil fuels are very important for our energy requirements. They have both good and bad effects. With being primary source of energy they also increase the temperature of global which causes several bad impacts on our planet. Thus they have advantages and disadvantages too. We will discuss them below:

Advantages of Fossil Fuels

There are few advantages of fossil fuels:

  1. Cheaper source of energy

Fossil fuels are very cheap source of energy. Extraction process can be costly but in these days new technologies are more efficient and extraction of fossil fuels has become less costly and the quality is also better than before.

  1. Economic benefits

Fossil fuels can affect country’s economy. Fuels like oil and gas generating countries can be economically strong. They can rely on fuels for their economic prosperity. By this we can guess the importance of fossil fuels in our life.

  1. Stability

They consist of carbon and hydrogen and are highly stable due to the bond between them. This quality makes them capable to store for a long period because they do not react with other components when they are stored in cans. So this is also the reason behind their easy and safe transport.

  1. Safe transport

They are stable and can be transported from one place to another without any harm. They can also be sent over long distances. Fossil fuels can be transported in huge trucks and in pipes and they are not the expensive transport methods. Thus they are safe to transport.

  1. Excessive

Fossil fuels are abundant. They are enough to fulfill the requirements of people. They can be found in almost every country.

  1. Reliable

They are reliable. They can give guaranteed supply of electricity as compare to the other sources like sun and wind.

Disadvantages of Fossil Fuels

Here are some disadvantages of fossil fuels;

  1. Non renewable

They are not renewable. Their life is limited and they cannot be renewed before their specific time.

  1. Environment pollution

Fossil fuels cause environmental pollution. Their combustion can cause air pollution. They increase the heat which rise temperature and then global warming is increasing day by day.

  1. Affect on human health

Their combustion can cause dangerous health problems like heart problems and asthma etc. Fossil fuels are harmful for human health.

  1. Impact on aquatic life

Sometimes while transporting fossil fuels leakage occurs like in oil tanks etc, the oil mixed up with water of seas and oceans and affects the aquatic life dangerously.  In refinery processes crude oil can mix into water and block the oxygen for aquatic species which can cause their death. Thus they have harmful affect on aquatic life.

Conclusion

Fossil fuels are vital source of energy. They are useful in energy resources. But they can be harmful by some aspects too.

Stress, The Silent Enemy in the Workplace

People, generally speaking, are powerful and resilient to specific levels of anxiety, in actuality, some stress can be inspirational and healthy. Let us look at if anxiety is not healthy, such as bullying at work, belittling in management, personnel cutbacks, fiscal cutbacks, and traumatic events to name a couple. Statistics and studies say 54 percent of employees say that anxiety caused them to contend with different men and women.

Firms and corporations spend countless dollars Health and Safety Training, together with minimal feedback and involvement from workers. It is needed, it is required, it is mandated, and it is dull. Workplaces are getting to be safer due to the instruction along with the mandates. Workers are experiencing fewer accidents at work. Why is there still a problem of stress and negativity at work?

The older line of"Be kind, since you never know what warfare another individual is fighting" springs to mind.   Some stress arrives to work together with the workers. Some stress can not be prevented. Statistics from the USA say that 85 percent of all injuries in the workplace are brought on by stress. That is outstanding. We can't escape stress, it is in our surroundings, it is in our meals (additives, compounds ), it is within our relationships: it's anywhere.

When it's everywhere, it's definitely being brought to and fostered at work. Time to bring healthful actions, customs, and beliefs to the office to encourage workers to remain grounded and connected inside. It is cheaper, in the long term, to encourage a worker to meditate to ease anxiety, than it would be to pay a WSIB claim for an accident that happened due to anxiety.

Instead of sweeping pressure under the carpet, hoping it's going to go off, like what's been happening at the office for several years. Perhaps it's time to get started creating an atmosphere that seems stress at the eye and provides actions to counteract it.

Why don't you change the focus on encouraging workers through anxiety in order that they feel safe, affirmed and comfortable in locating equilibrium?
